UK economy heading for third quarter of recession as exports to eurozone dry up
The UK economy looks set to register a third quarter of negative growth after figures today showed its exports to the eurozone dried up in April. Britain's trade deficit deficit - the gap between imports and exports - soared by £1.4bn to £4.4billion, its widest in nearly seven years, the Office for National Statistics said. The massive increase from £3billion in March was driven by an 8.6 per cent drop in exports, including a 6.8 per cent fall in exports to the rest of the European Union, the UK's biggest trade partner...Mail Online
