Thousands forced into part-time work
Almost 100,000 people in the South West have been forced into part-time jobs because the recession means they cannot find full-time work, the TUC has claimed.
According to its analysis of figures released yesterday, the TUC said the number of men doing involuntary part-time work in the region has rocketed by 77% to 40,778, while for women the figure is 58,593 – a rise of 47%.
